Welcome
The spirit of collaboration is evident among the chambers that formed the West Michigan Chamber Coalition in the late 1990’s to promote regionalism, cooperation and a desire to improve the area’s business climate in this global economy.
The West Michigan Chamber Coalition consists of:
- Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce
- Holland Area Chamber of Commerce
- Muskegon Area Chamber of Commerce
- The Chamber - Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Ferrysburg
The four Chambers of Commerce represent a cross section of businesses with over 6,000 business members with over 265,000 employees. The western boundary is over 50 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline with a large urban center to the east.
The area represents approximately 1,950 square miles and a population of 1.1 million people. The shoreline coastal features sandy beaches, sand dunes and deep water ports and the urban center is the second largest city in Michigan.

Chamber Coalition launches new Minority- and Woman-Owned Business Directory
West Michigan chambers in Grand Rapids, Holland, Muskegon and Grand Haven recently launched an online 2011/2012 Minority- and Woman-Owned Regional Business Directory. The directory lists companies at least 51% minority- or woman-owned, both alphabetically and by business category (retail, technology, business services, etc).
This helpful tool is great for companies looking to diversify their supplier base and those seeking to develop new business.
